Thanking God for a year like 2020

Do you have something to thank God for in 2020? In the midst of the pandemic, fears, scarcity, restrictions, economic and social lock-down, there is always a reason to be thankful.

1 Thessalonians 5:18 says, “In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”

Don’t forget that God saw into the 21st Century, and 2020 precisely before he enjoins us to give thanks in all things. Our positivity in the midst of the year has nonetheless sustained us, and here we are looking back with a heart of gratitude and saying, “Thank You LORD.”

Unfortunately, some people lamented and resent this unique year. In fact, someone said when we get into the new year – 2021, rule number one is, never mention 2020. But no doubt, 2020 has already won itself a popularity badge that is recognized by the whole world and will always be talked about. It is indeed a unique year that has left a remarkable footprint on the sand of time.
