Are there possibilities in the Blood of Jesus?

Man got into problem in the Garden of Eden when Satan came and tempted man. As a result, man fell and was driven out of Eden which symbolises the presence of God. Man lost the nature of God and inherited the Satan Imparted Nature – (See, The corrupting influence of sin), the nature that does not obey God and loves to rebel. The devil seems to have defeated man because the fallen state reproduces the same fallen nature to every other man that was born into the world thereby making all men (humanity) sinners before God

“For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God” – Romans 3:23

This brought man to a state of condemnation even from birth. None is free from the depraved nature and as a result man became separated from God. God was displeased but merciful and He took an animal, killed that animal and use the skin of the animal to cover the nakedness of man. But remember this covering was not possible unless that animal died – the blood of the innocent animal was shed

“For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul” – Leviticus 17:11

The animal suffered the death (that is, total separation from God) Adam and Eve could have died. The animal became a substitute while the offender was made free. But there was a fault with this sacrifice, the blood of animal could not make anyone permanently free from sin in the sense that man kept falling into sin over and over again. But this was a pointer to God’s Salvation plan for fallen man, how the sinless God will come as The Lamb to shed his blood and die for the remission of sin

“For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins” – Hebrews 10:4

The blood of bulls and goats were not sufficient, they were not able to cleanse man or reconcile man back to God but only the Blood of Jesus. This is the possibility in His Blood and whosoever is not washed in this blood will be separated from God forever throughout all eternity. The cross is the fulfilment of God’s plan for our redemption (Genesis 3:15) and it is the place of celebration, a place of everlasting joy

“Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world” – John 1:29b

Your sins took Jesus to the cross. He shed his righteous blood for you for your remission and reconciliation. Today animal sacrifices has been abolished and made useless in the sight of God because your final sacrifice is Jesus Christ (Isaiah 53:4, 5). Therefore, whosoever reject his sufferings and punishment for man, his blood has no other remedy but eternal punishment

The call to repentance and faith in the atoning blood

While that Blood has been shed, there is need for repentance and faith in the One who shed his blood for it to work in your life. The blood of Jesus is rich, it cleanses from sin permanently, it purges the conscience, it heals your sickness and diseases, it leads and guide you by His Spirit. When you give your life to Him, the mark of the blood will be upon you – though you may not see it but it is upon you

“And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.” – Exodus 12:13

Calamities and demonic attacks will pass over you. His blood give you victory over Satan and over the power of darkness. When it seem like danger is coming your way and you call on the blood of Jesus, your victory comes. “…For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.” – 1 John 3:8b. It is one thing to have the blood of Jesus work for you and it is another to enjoy it, so how do you enjoy this Blood? To enjoy the privileges and the possibilities in Jesus’ Blood, first you must decide in your heart not to disobey the word of God because sin is the transgression of the Law and any one still living in sin will not be able to get the possibilities in Christ Blood. Walk and live for him daily and claim his promises everywhere you go, victory is all yours.
