The Reckless Love of Christ ?

Ephesians 3:16-19; Hebrews 12:2; John 10:17-19

I understand at times, when people try to describe the depth of Gods love – how he saved them, perhaps. And they try to sing or describe the awe of His mercies towards them, how deep, how unimaginable and how tirelessly He ran after them for their salvation, that they could find no better word to express this great love.

But all the same, can we say Gods love is reckless? God’s love is intentional. It is purposeful. It has a plan and a future, and he want us to know it.

This exposition is to help you see that purposeful nature of His love so you can purposefully love him too and come to the knowledge of His truth.

So, in your own way, how can you describe the love of God?

Forgiveness through the Blood of Jesus

Hebrews 12:22 says that, “The blood of Jesus speaketh better things than the blood of Abel.”
To understand the verse is to understand what the blood of this two people spake.
Gen. 4:9-11 made us to know that when Cain killed his brother Abel, the blood of Abel from the ground cried to God for vengeance. So, the blood of Abel spake vengeance. But on the other hand, Luke 23:33-34 tells us that Jesus asked the Father for our forgiveness while on the cross.
The blood of Jesus spake forgiveness. This is were the difference lies.

And to Jesus who is THE MEDIATOR OF THE NEW TESTAMENT…

Why is he the mediator of the new testament? It is because he came in the new testament to bring forgiveness and redemption, not judgment or condemnation. He said in John 3:17 For God came NOT into the world (in the new testament) to condemn the world but that the world through him might be saved.

But for us to be saved, we have to not refuse him that spake. We must first receive him to receive his salvation. Think about it.

John 1:12 says, “But as many as receive him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God”

Signposts to becoming a better believer

This days, it is easy for believers to forget the kind of people God expect them to be when they become satisfied with the title of a believer more than the progressive work that should continue in the life of a believer as long as they live. No doubt, every […]

The Believers’ Responsibility Under A Better Covenant

Christ has obtained a more superior ministry for new testament believers, giving them a better covenant that enables them do what the people under the older covenant could not do.
His law now written in their hearts and his holy spirit dwelling within them, helps in walking consistently with God and gives them a better understanding of his word.

Believers are therefore expected to live beyond the periphery of God’s law and draw near to him in deeper devotion.

All Men Seek Thee

Another subtile way the devil uses to drain us both spiritually and in our over all physical state is to keep us endlessly busy

God is a God of progressive revelation

The post – God is a God of progressive revelation shows us how often times God’s revelation comes to us but not entire. He may show us a bit of what would be and then lead us gradually, step by step into that plan. What he wants from us however is to trust his plan for our lives and leave the nitty-gritty of how it will be done in his hands.

Every young adult looks up to becoming a parent someday and to have an opportunity to train their children.
